Wrapping Up the Summer Season with Aloha Lacrosse at the “Texas Two‑Step”

This past weekend marked the end of our summer lacrosse season with an unforgettable finale at Aloha Lacrosse’s Texas Two‑Step tournament in Plano, Texas. Over the course of the tournament, our teams battled through five competitive games, showing grit, teamwork, and real growth on the field. We ended the weekend with a 3-1-1 record, stained with a disappointing loss at 5-4 in the semi-finals. The boys battled late after being down 4-1 at half, but their goalie made some amazing saves and time ran out before we could tie it up.

Saturday evening brought well‑deserved rest and celebration. We gathered for dinner at Urban Bear, indulging in flatbread pizzas, ribeye tacos, homemade pork rinds, and those memorable candied Brussels sprouts—just the pick‑me‑up we needed after a full day of lacrosse.

Our home base for the weekend was the Sandman Hotel, an awesome spot that provided just the right balance of comfort and convenience. After the kids headed to bed early to recharge for Sunday’s matchups, the adults made a visit to the Shark Bar for a nightcap—a cozy, but energetic sports bar with lots on tap!

With the Summer Season Ending...Now What?

With the Texas Two‑Step behind us, we’re embracing some well‑earned downtime. Over the next few weekends, we’re trading long drives and tournament runs for lazy days at the lake—enjoying the sun, staying close to home, and keeping the car miles low. It’s the perfect way to reset before we kick off football season where practices seem to come earlier every year in late July.

A huge thank‑you to all the players, coaches, and families who made this summer unforgettable. The adventures aren’t over—just shifting gears for a while. Here's to lake days, rest, and the next time we hit the field!
